That's a shame Jeff. Was looking forward to meeting you guys again.

We have now received the booking details from the Spanish Clubs, we are just awaiting clarification on a few questions. As soon as I am clear on the details I will post the form so that you can start making your bookings.

All accommodation is double rooms with the option of double occupancy (€189) or single occupancy (€141).

Well Geoff and Jessica won't be attending. Just looked at the leave sheet and someone has sneaked in a weeks holiday so now I cannot book the same week.
Just booked the channel tunnel, the first nights hotel the Bilbao ferry back at the weekend and now I will lose my deposit! Really Pissed as no one else books leave at this time of the year usually. anger

Copied this off another site, maybe something else to look into.
A bit of info if you are thinking of riding/driving in Europe after the end of March. You will need an International Driving Permit for most of Europe. It will be the 1968 one and it lasts for 3 years. If your doing Spain, then you need the 1949 one which lasts one year. I also think you may need a green card from your insurance provider. I will be phoning mine shortly. This is just incase the Brexit goes through on the right date. Each Permit costs £5:50p. Check online for more info.

Re: EIC 2019 - Spain (Dates and Location) and Attendees

Post  Vermin on Tue 12 Feb - 19:57

I have had contact from some members informing me that they have had difficulty making the bank transfer. Apparently certain banks require an address in order to make the transfer. In the case of my bank HSBC when I put the IBAN number in, the bank address came up automatically but still required a recipient address. I managed to make a transfer with "NOT APPLICABLE" for the recipient address but this may vary between banks.

I messaged the secretary yesterday and got this response:

Hi,
The account is:
SANTANDER BANK
ES89 0049 0113 54 2210779560
BIC .: BSCHESMMXXX
SANTANDER BANK
AGENCY 0113
CALLE ITALIA, 8 Nº 20 HARO 26200

PHONE 941-311184

If you still have problems then send me a PM and I'll see what I can do

As Richy said the list of people attending or routes being taken are sadly lacking at the moment so here's ours if anybody wishes to hook up along the route.
We've decided to make this our two week holiday and works out around 180 miles a day avoiding tolls and motorways with a break mid week each way.
Sat 25 May eurotunnel then to Montreuil (above Abbeville not Paris), Sun 26 May Chartres, Mon & Tues 27/28 May Limoges, Wed 29 May Montauban, Thur 30 May Berga.
Return Sun 2 June Lodeve, Mon & Tues 3/4 June Clermont Ferrand, Wed 5 June Montargis, Thur 6 June Amiens, Fri 7 June eurotunnel then Ashford.
Martin & Kath and Nick are also travelling with us so if anybodys thinking of riding all the way or interested in meeting on route let us know.
