Whats the distance on this run ?, and I presume a slightly shorter run has been planned incase the weather is not great ?.

I think 3 or 4 stops is the usual if possible as folks like to stop and natter etc.  wink

Oh and thanks for the magazine Owl thumbs

The run is 118 mils with two stops .

ok, ideally need at least 3 or 4 stops, doesn't necessarily have to have a cafe. We have had a problem
with this before and people were not happy as its not all about the ride, they like to stop and natter etc.

Personally its not a problem to me, im just saying what I know from past experience. If it was me I would
arrange 2 stops per leg, a short'ish one and a longer one. thumb

The run is as follows

Total distance approx 118 miles
From hotel (10am) it's 48 steady miles ( 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hrs) to first stop  (20 to 30 mins) 10am to 12pm.
Then it's either a 14mile or approx 25 mile leg dependant on the weather to the 2nd food stop which will be about an hour with loads to see & do. 1pm to 2pm
Then it's another 45 to 48 steady miles (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hrs) to the third stop at the national motorcycle museum. ( 30 mins+) which takes us to about 4pm.
Then it's either 11 miles back to the hotel or we can do another 50 mile loop either starting from the Museum or go via the hotel for those who would like to get back & freshen up & those who would like to go a bit further can go on the extra 50 mile loop starting from the hotel.
Again this is dependant on the weather & time available.

It's a very pleasant easy route & definitely not a mad dash.

No probs with fuel stops Jimbo as long as everyone's filled up BEFORE we start. When we get to the food stop (about 70 miles) I doubt whether any one will need fuel but if they do we'll stop at the first fuel station for them.
Everyone should be OK to get to the motorcycle museum though & there's a fuel station near there which would be an ideal stop for us all to fill up for either the journey to the hotel & home or the extra 50 mile loop if that's decided to run.
